Valley Metro’s transit card is called the Platinum Pass. Platinum Pass can be used on all Valley Metro buses as well as Metro Rail.

Platinum Pass Users:  Touch, Hold and Go Before Each Ride

We hope you are enjoying the Valley’s newest form of transportation, METRO light rail. Operating 365 days a year, 20 hours a day, METRO is a great way to commute.

Riding is fast and simple – just Touch, Hold, then Go! 

To validate your Platinum Pass:

• Touch the pass on the orange target.

• Hold for the confirmation ding or until target light turns from yellow back to green.

• Go enjoy your ride.

Failure to validate each time can result in fines of $50 to $500.
